About Me

My love for animals has been a lifelong passion. From a young age, I knew I wanted to dedicate my career to their well-being. This led me to pursue studies at Oxford Brookes and Nottingham Vet School, where I qualified as a Veterinary Physiotherapist and Canine Hydrotherapist.

As a registered member of the Institute of Registered Veterinary & Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP), I am committed to providing the highest quality of care. I believe in creating a calm and trusting environment for my patients, always prioritizing their comfort and well-being.

I am fortunate to work as a canine hydrotherapist in a rehabilitation clinic, where I have gained invaluable experience working with a diverse range of cases. I am passionate about helping animals recover and improve their quality of life.

How Can Physiotherapy Benefit My Animal?

Veterinary physiotherapy helps animals recover faster, move better, and live happier. Through targeted therapies like massage and exercise, animals regain strength, flexibility, and coordination. This improves their quality of life and allows them to move better and live happier lives

Client Testimonials

  • Mia has been treating Ted for general physio while competing in agility and more recently for treatment of an injury after falling off the sofa. There is no one I would trust more than Mia Hanton Veterinary Physiotherapy. Knowledgeable, professional and gave Ted all the time he needed whenever he was feeling nervous. She has also been a suberb support to me, a very stressed mum at times. 5 stars from me!

    Rebecca and Ted

  • I highly recommend Mia Hanton Veterinary Physiotherapy. Mia comes to my yard to treat both my horses and my livery clients. She took her her time to get to know the horses, they felt at ease in her presence all loved their treatments. A very knowledgeable and professional service and is now my go to therapist

    Zoe @ ZB Equestrian

  • I can't recommend Mia highly enough. My beautiful lab Scrumpy is 3 and has bilateral hip dysplasia. He has been seeing Mia for a year now and the change in him is amazing. She totally understands him and they bonded from the start. She is a truly lovely, kind and caring person and I am so happy we came across her
